Se è vero ciò che Iosif Brodskij ripeteva ai suoi studenti e cioè che l'esperienza precede sempre l'articolazione verbale, allora Paolo Rosselli ha fatto sua questa massima alla lettera, declinandola però in fotografia. Dopo aver abbandonato cavalletto e banco ottico, Rosselli si è lasciato guidare dalla tecnica digitale quasi ad occhi chiusi per poi ricostruire a posteriori il senso fotografico delle proprie esperienze visive, come se fosse un pittore. È infatti questa la grande libertà che offre la fotografia digitale: vedere e registrare ciò che l'occhio normalmente non vede secondo configurazioni del tutto inattese.
