Riproposto in modo integrale, il testo 'Memorie alla casalinga di un garibaldino' Guerra nel Tirolo 1866, la cui prima edizione uscì anonima. Il motivo, spiegato nel testo, è estremamente curioso. Il diario ottocentesco narra le vicissitudini dei soldati che parteciparono con le truppe garibaldine alle Guerre di Indipendenza d'Italia nella Campagna del Tirolo del 1866. Il volontario garibaldino, autore del diario, narra la vita di quei mesi in supporto ai soldati sabaudi ma anche del viaggio, delle sofferenze, della fame, dei combattimenti a Bezzecca, a Condino e molto altro ancora. Nel riportare i fatti inerenti alla battaglia di Condino, l'autore riferisce di una Guida a cavallo: è Frederick Stibbert. È da questa 'rivelazione' che hanno preso origine i due saggi di approfondimento al diario uno di Piermartini l'altro di Di Marco. Due punti di vista di straordinario interesse con un unico fil rouge legato alla figura di Frederick Stibbert. Molte sono le illustrazioni sia di reperti del Museo Stibbert che da collezioni private, molti dei quali inediti.
