Reaching the Emerald City, Dorothy, the scarecrow, tin man, and lion make their requests of the Wizard of Oz, but before the wishes are granted, he demands that the foursome undertake a quest to kill the wicked witch of the west.

Once Dorothy and her companions reach the witch's country, the witch sends forces to destroy them, including wolves, vicious crows, a bee swarm, and winged monkeys, and Dorothy must find a way to kill the witch and save her friends.

After destroying the wicked witch, Dorothy calls on the winged monkeys to transport the group of travelers back to the Emerald City where they confront the Wizard and ask that he fulfill his promise to grant their wishes.

The Wizard gives the scarecrow a brain, the tin man a heart, and the lion his courage, and he decides to escort Dorothy home in a hot air balloon.

Having missed her ride home with the Wizard, Dorothy and her three friends set out for the country of the Quadlings to ask the witch Glinda to help Dorothy return home.

Accompanied by the Tin Man, Tip and his fellow travelers start a return journey to the Emerald City to recapture it from General Jinjur, gaining a woggle-bug traveling companion along the way.

After joining forces with the overthrowing army, the old witch, Mombi, uses her magic to disguise the way to the Emerald City, but Tin Man calls upon the queen of the field mice to lead the traveling companions safely to the city.

When Tip and his traveling companions decide to head for the south country to ask Glinda for help retaking the Emerald City, Tip uses the magic powder again to create an unusual vehicle for their journey.
