Non andiamo sempre d'accordo. Quello che, all'origine, si presenta solo come uno scambio di idee spesso si trasforma in una discussione accesa o in infuocati litigi. Chi è stato il più grande calciatore del mondo, Pelé o Maradona? È più sano seguire un regime alimentare di stampo anglosassone o è meglio scegliere la dieta mediterranea? Già i pensatori dell'antichità si erano accorti che, per risolvere uno scontro di opinioni, non sempre è sufficiente fare ricorso alla 'logica', visto che, nell'argomentazione comune, spesso si nascondono trappole e inferenze ingannevoli. Le fonti dell'argomentazione, proprio partendo dalle più autorevoli testimonianze del pensiero di chi ci ha preceduto, aiuta il lettore a identificare quali siano le fonti del disaccordo, a seconda dei differenti contenuti e scenari.
