Macroshift
Book (italiano):
A short definition of "macroshift" is global change, but Lazlo's definition is more dramatic: "a shift that is all-embracing, rapid, and irreversible, extending to the far corners of the globe and involving practically all aspects of life." The macroshift, says the author, is driven by technology but unsolvable by technology. It is Lazlo's aim not to minimize or stop the macroshift but to "navigate" it, to "steer toward a humanly desirable outcome." The book charts the trashing of the planet and quality of life but suggests that the way out is holistic thinking or as the author puts it, an "evolution from logos to holos." Lazlo is founder and president of the Club of Budapest, an association dedicated to "developing a new way of thinking." Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
