Peoples of the Plateau
Book (italiano):
Although he was not a professional photographer, Moorehouse, who was a businessman and military officer, produced over 9,000 glass-plate negatives, one-third with Indians as his subjects. This collection depicting the lives of Pacific Northwest Indians at the turn of the 20th century is a valuable aid to tribal researchers and historians, because the individuals photographed are identified by name. Fleming, a retired photo archivist at the Smithsonian National Anthropological Archives, provides an introduction to Native American photography.
