Themes in the pieces include transformation, creation, community, participation, healing, and hope, as scholars, performers, and playwrights from the US and Canada analyze performances, creation stories, dance traditions, the history of Spiderwoman Theater (with poems and excerpts of plays by the company), the role of theater in a community's history, and producing and collaborating on plays, with some excerpts.
