Statistical Genetics
Book (italiano):
This textbook for advanced students of statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, and human molecular genetics who are interested in gene mapping discusses genetic linkage and association analysis with an emphasis on conducting genome-wide studies into complex behaviors and diseases. It describes the foundational genetics and statistical theory for established and new methodologies, focusing on polygenic traits, through 22 chapters written by an international group of researchers in genetics, psychiatry, and psychology. Many were participants in the Eighteenth International Workshop of Twin and Family Studies, held in Colorado in March of 2005, from which the idea for the book originated. Many of the contributors are also the authors of the software programs detailed. Neale et al. are associated with universities around the world, working in genetic research and biological psychology.
