<div>Drawing on an extensive set of cases from several countries of origin, transit and destination, material produced by nongovernmental organizations, police and criminal courts, as well as interviews and field research, this book examines the techniques of recruitment, the methods of transportation, and the forms of exploitation abroad in the global sex trade. The goal is to identify the mechanisms of what has truly become a global market. To this end, three areas are explored: supply, demand, and the socio-institutional context within the countries of origina and destination, where trafficking already occurs, or is just beginning.<br><br></div>
