Patterns of Fashion 4
Book (italiano):
Janet Arnold studied linen clothing for over 20 years, recording items wherever she found them in drawings, photos, and scale patterns. She envisioned this book and had made major headway before her death; two colleagues (Jenny Tiramani and Santina M. Levey) brought the work to fruition, adding material when necessary and organizing the contents. The first section consists of 85 items presented in captioned color photographs (about seven to a page). The second section presents the items as patterns on gridded paper, with Arnold's drawings. The book is oversize and oriented horizontally (14x10.5") to accommodate the visual display. This is a reprint of a 2008 book first published by Macmillan.
