Yang Lian scrive in versi innumerevoli osservazioni, mostra i particolari, produce sguardi ravvicinati, immagini concatenate, solo apparentemente scollegate, stridenti ma ritmate, musicalmente intonate nei più vari registri. Queste di Yang Lian sono cose vocianti, sprizzano colori e, in ondate di versi sbattono sulla risacca della pagina-battigia una molteplicità di figure di pensiero. Figure in perpetuo movimento, ben calibrate, pur nella loro asprezza, e comunque necessarie alla forma stratificata delle sue architetture compositive.

La poesia di Yang Lian coniuga una straordinaria irruenza espressiva di valenza sciamanica con la scrittura modernista di Pound, Eliot, William Carlos Williams e quella decadente di Baudelaire, senza mai smarrire l'esemplare misura della poesia classica cinese. L'energia metamorfica che percorre i suoi versi trasfigura il mondo naturale e storico secondo una morfologia antropocentrica, dove l'originale reinvenzione del meraviglioso ricorda la foga decontestualizzante della «scrittura automatica» surrealista. È forse possibile che esistesse un legame fra le loro menti, desiderose entrambe di scorgere, dietro l'illusione della bellezza, le miserie dell'umanità, che non conoscono passato e presente? Chi, in questo mondo, non è profugo? Questa composizione poetica è stata completata il 14 luglio 2017, nel giorno in cui Liu Xiaobo, premio Nobel per la pace, moriva in prigione: un giorno di sconfinata 'elegia', la nostra, di ciascuna persona al mondo.

Yang Lian si pone di fronte al mare della lingua con un atteggiamento paragonabile a quello di Dante appena approdato al Purgatorio. Guarda ancora ansimante l'acqua pericolosa dello scampato naufragio. Vi aggiunge però una determinazione fondamentale: decide di fermare il mare. Le operazioni logico-poetiche che ritroviamo nella ricca e articolata struttura del poema sono costituite essenzialmente attorno a due temi di pensiero: fermare il mare e rendere assente il nome di poeta. Il primo è il più vistoso, e si mostra fin dal titolo, mentre il secondo va colto nel suo andamento sottrattivo.

As one of the most important classes of soft materials, supramolecular materials are of a mixture of networks of molecular chains/fibrils and a liquid. A spherical actuator is a novel electric device that can achieve 2/3-DOF rotational motions in a single joint with electric power input. It has advantages such as compact structure, low mass/moment of inertia, fast response and non-singularities within the workspace. It has promising applications in robotics, automobile, manufacturing, medicine and aerospace industry. This is the first monograph that introduces the research on spherical actuators systematically.  It broadens the scope of actuators from conventional single-axis to multi-axis, which will help both beginners and researchers to enhance their knowledge on electromagnetic actuators. Generic analytic modeling methods for magnetic field and torque output are developed, which can be applied to the development of other electromagnetic actuators. A parametric design methodology that allows fast analysis and design of spherical actuators for various applications is proposed. A novel non-contact high-precision 3-DOF spherical motion sensing methodology is developed and evaluated with experiments, which shows that it can achieve one order of magnitude higher precision than conventional methods. The technologies of nondimensionalization and normalization are introduced into magnetic field analysis the first time, and a benchmark database is established for the reference of other researches on spherical actuators.

Benefiting from both time-domain and frequency-domain signal processing techniques, multicarrier systems have the potential for achieving high spectral-efficiency, high-flexibility and low-complexity wireless communications. Lo Xingyiquan (Hsing Yi Chuan) è una delle più note arti marziali interne cinesi. Xingyi significa 'modellare la mente', e Quan 'pugno' o 'stile'. Il nome trae origine dall'imitazione dei movimenti e delle caratteristiche propri di dodici animali.
