In questa opera, realizzata per chitarra e organo, il termine trascrizione è utilizzato in senso lato per designare un adattamento, più precisamente, si potrebbe parlare di una riduzione del Concerto in do maggiore per mandolino, archi e basso continuo, RV 425 di Antonio Vivaldi. Il manoscritto del presente concerto fa parte della raccolta 'Renzo Giordano' conservata presso la Biblioteca Nazionale di Torino. Il Concerto in do maggiore per mandolino, archi e basso continuo, RV 425 è stato scritto da Antonio Vivaldi probabilmente per il mecenate ferrarese, marchese, Guido Bentivoglio d'Aragona. Non si conosce la data in cui l'opera è stata composta. Nella presente trascrizione la chitarra esegue la parte del mandolino (solista). All'organo è affidata la parte del basso continuo.
