In questo modo si evita, da un lato, di seppellire gli sventurati lettori sotto una montagna di informazioni che non avranno mai la possibilità di mettere in pratica, e dall'altro di aspettare troppo prima di introdurre nozioni assolutamente essenziali di cui non può fare a meno neppure un esordiente alle prime armi. Chiedere a una terza categoria di imparare il metodo delle case corrispondenti o il matto con Alfiere e Cavallo contro Re sarebbe infatti non solo inutile ma controproducente, mentre a volte si incontrano giocatori di seconda categoria che non sanno nulla della posizione di Lucena o di Philidor, e quindi finiranno inevitabilmente con lo sbagliare la maggior parte dei finali di Torri che si troveranno ad affrontare. Se poi aggiungiamo che a questa razionale ed efficiente organizzazione del materiale si accompagna la straordinaria chiarezza espositiva a cui Silman ci ha ormai abituati, sapientemente condita da esercizi sempre stimolanti anche se mai così difficili da scoraggiare gli allievi, allora si potranno facilmente immaginare gli enormi benefici sul piano pratico per tutti coloro che vorranno lavorare seriamente su questo Corso! Alcuni dovranno iniziare per ora con i primi capitoli, altri potranno invece saltare a pié pari la prima metà del libro e forse ancora oltre (anche se ripassare ciò che già si crede di conoscere è gratificante, oltre che utile). € 39,00
