Da una montagna fino ad un razzo spaziale, il coniglietto di questa storia dimostra ai lettori che una scatola può essere tutto ciò che la nostra fantasia ci consente di immaginare. L'autrice ripensa al suo vissuto infantile per mostrare le risorse preziose rappresentate dagli oggetti della vita quotidiana: con il solo aiuto dell'immaginazione, i bambini riescono a trasformare la cosa più semplice nel più meraviglioso giocattolo. É un albo genuino, tanto per il contenuto quanto per la forma. La copertina sembra una scatola di cartone, ne riproduce il materiale e il colore, riportando anche le istruzioni per il corretto posizionamento dell'oggetto. L'autrice utilizza una linea narrativa molto semplice, fatta di frasi corte sotto forma di dialogo tra il protagonista e una voce onnisciente che lo interroga sull'utilità dell'involucro. Le illustrazioni sono caratterizzate da tratti essenziali e da effetti di colori e prospettive. Ciò che più colpisce è la rappresentazione artistica del gioco che si stabilisce tra il piano della realtà e quello della finzione: l'idea immaginata si sovrappone a quella concreta, offrendo al lettore uno sguardo diverso. Così, quella che sembra essere una semplice scatola diviene in ogni pagina un oggetto differente: una macchina da corsa, un robot, un edificio in fiamme e un'infinità di altre cose.
