Eastoe Jane Title : Tulipani.
Author: Eastoe Jane
Publisher: Guido Tommasi Editore-Datanova

Tutti sanno come sono fatti i tulipani, o forse no?

Eastoe Jane Title : Elizabeth
Author: Eastoe Jane
Publisher: Trafalgar Square

A detailed sartorial portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, featuring beautiful photographs, sketches, mood boards, and the memorabilia that accompanied State outfits—ideal for followers of vintage fashion and Royal watchers alike

Published to coincide with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year, this remarkable book takes a fond look back at the days when her Majesty led the way in terms of fashion, showcasing the best of the world's designers. From the coronation to the present day the Queen has attracted comment, but in the 1950s and 1960s particularly she was a style icon, copied and adored. In the 1950s her wardrobe was characterized by romantic, glamorous, yet practical dresses, with fashionable nipped-in waists and full skirts. A more tailored silhouette took over in the 1960s, while in the 1970s she embraced a more floaty, relaxed style to match the feel of the decade. From the feminine, intricately embroidered New Look dresses of Norman Hartnell through the more tailored simplicity of Hardy Amies to the more flowing style of Ian Thomas in the 1970s, the Queen's wardrobe has been inspirational in terms of vintage fashion. This sartorial biography charts a woman's move from wasp-waisted princess to stately national icon and is a must-buy for the vintage clothes enthusiast as much as for dedicated followers of her Majesty the Queen.

Eastoe Jane, Goodman Ruth (FRW) Title : Victorian Pharmacy
Author: Eastoe Jane, Goodman Ruth (FRW)
Publisher: Trafalgar Square

Providing hints, tips, recipes, and historical background, this book explains how many traditional remedies are still in use and how to make them at home

Here is the story of consumer medicine?how drugstore healthcare emerged in just 50 years and how consumers still rely on hundreds of formulations and products that can trace their origins back to the 19th century. Sun cream; treatments for insomnia, dandruff, or warts; perfumes; and soaps are all as important today as they were 100 years ago and are stocked by the local pharmacist. This book takes a look at which products were on offer, whether they were effective, and how they are used today, showing that while the names of products on the pharmacy shelf have changed over time, consumers' hopes and aspirations remain much the same as their Victorian predecessors. This is also the story of the growth of the drugstore, and how families have come to rely upon them as dispensaries of healthcare.
