I vissuti del bambino malato sono spesso non adeguatamente percepiti e valutati perché ancora con eccessiva frequenza persiste negli operatori e nei familiari un'ottica adultocentrica se non addirittura egocentrica. In questo volume sono raccolti e analizzati 265 scritti di bambini e ragazzi colpiti da malattie tumorali in cui essi hanno espresso i loro desideri, le loro necessità e le loro aspettative. L'opera può essere considerata uno strumento per migliorare le capacità di comprensione della sofferenza e dei bisogni di bambini e ragazzi affetti da gravi malattie.

Questi, però, capisce che la via dell'amore non è lontana dalla via della profezia e, inaspettatamente, assolve l'usignuolo da ogni accusa restituendolo alla sua prediletta rosa. Amore mistico e amore profano si mescolano inestricabilmente nella più famosa e intrigante 'favola teologica' del Medioevo persiano.

More than fifty years ago, Professor R. S. Rivlin pioneered developments in both the theory and experiments of rubber elasticity.
