Wilson Lawrence Title : Saunaterapia con i raggi infrarossi a onda corta. Manuale pratico per disintossicarsi in modo semplice ed economico senza effetti collaterali (e comodamente a casa!)
Author: Wilson Lawrence
Publisher: Consulenze Gioviali.it

Lawrence T. E., Wilson Jeremy (FRW) Title : Revolt in the Desert
Author: Lawrence T. E., Wilson Jeremy (FRW)
Publisher: Tauris Parke Paperbacks

T.E. Lawrence, also known as 'Lawrence of Arabia,' wrote Seven Pillars of Wisdom: A Triumph from his memories of serving as a liaison officer with rebel forces during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Turks (1916-1918). Possessed of a brilliant military mind and an unmatched knowledge of the region and the Arab people, Lawrence led the revolt alongside the charismatic Faisal I, sounding the death knell for the Ottoman Empire and paving the way for a new colonial power in the region: the British. Writing from memory after his original manuscript and detailed notes were lost, Lawrence was able to privately publish a polished version of his autobiograhpical account in 1922. It is from this edition that he created the abridged version in 1927 which would become a best-seller, titling it Revolt in the Desert. This important historic work vividly portrays one of the most turbulent periods in the history of the Middle East while offering rich insight into one of Britain's esteemed national heroes.

Brother Lawrence, Wilson-Hartgrove Jonathan (FRW), Edmonson Robert J. (CON), Helms Hal M. (EDT) Title : The Practice of the Presence of God
Author: Brother Lawrence, Wilson-Hartgrove Jonathan (FRW), Edmonson Robert J. (CON), Helms Hal M. (EDT)
Publisher: Paraclete Pr

The original guide to “practicing the presence of God”

“We must not grow weary of doing little things for the love of God, who looks not on the great size of the work, but on the love of it.”

In this classic work, which has instructed and inspired millions, a humble 17th-century monk reveals the secrets of daily, moment-by-moment fellowship with God. “In the way of God, thoughts count very little,” writes Brother Lawrence, who spent much of his monastic life in the kitchen. “Love does it all.” Full of realistic honesty, friendliness, and simplicity, Brother Lawrence shows that it is possible to meet God amongst the pots and pans—in the ordinary, daily events of life. This edition, rendered from the original French into graceful, contemporary English, will nourish and delight all those who seek to practice the presence of God.

Lawrence D. H., Wilson Sue (EDT), Welsh Louise (INT), Jansohn Christa (EDT) Title : Selected Stories
Author: Lawrence D. H., Wilson Sue (EDT), Welsh Louise (INT), Jansohn Christa (EDT)
Publisher: Penguin Classics

This collection of short stories traces D. H. Lawrence's development as a writer. His early tales often draw on personal experiences, as in 'Odour of Chrysanthemums', a work he described as 'full of my childhood's atmosphere', while the horror of the First World War haunts 'England, My England'. Later stories, such as 'Things', powerfully express his evolving ideas about the essential duality of our lives. With complex, intelligent and sensitive characters, these stories illuminate real life and emotions and, above all, illustrate Lawrence's passionate belief about the destructive forces in modern society and their effect on love between men and women.
In her introduction Louise Welsh discusses Lawrence's personal experiences and how they relate to his short stories. This edition also includes explanatory notes by Sue Wilson, a chronology of Lawrence's life and work and suggestions for further reading.

Modern Christians profess to be authentic, but do we wrap ourselves in Christianese more than Christlikeness? A Different Kind of Crazy challenges you to take Jesus' teaching, and make it your own.

Author Lawrence W. Wilson points out that Jesus did not say, "Repeat after me," as if the faith were a set of arithmetic tables to be memorized and repeated on command. He said, "Follow me." Jesus showed us a way to live, from loving our enemies to remaining pure when society encourages us to indulge our desires.

Are you ready to truly follow Jesus and experience a life your friends, family, and the world may see as A Different Kind of Crazy? Take a risk. Change your life. And grow more like Jesus.

Lawrence Elizabeth, Armstrong Ann L. (EDT), Wilson Lindie (EDT) Title : Beautiful at All Seasons
Author: Lawrence Elizabeth, Armstrong Ann L. (EDT), Wilson Lindie (EDT)
Publisher: Duke Univ Pr

Elizabeth Lawrence (1904–85) is recognized as one of America's most important gardeners and garden writers. In 1957, Lawrence began a weekly column for the Charlotte Observer, blending gardening lore and horticultural expertise gained from her own gardens in Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina, and from her many gardener friends. This book presents 132 of her beloved columns. Never before published in book form, they were chosen from the more than 700 pieces that she wrote for the Observer over fourteen years.

Lawrence exchanged plants and gardening tips with everyone from southern “farm ladies” trading bulbs in garden bulletins to prominent regional gardeners. She corresponded with nursery owners, everyday backyard gardeners, and literary luminaries such as Katharine White and Eudora Welty. Her books, including A Southern Garden, The Little Bulbs, and Gardens in Winter, inspired several generations of gardeners in the South and beyond.

The columns in this volume cover specific plants, such as sweet peas, hellebores, peonies, and the bamboo growing outside her living-room window, as well as broader topics including the usefulness of vines, the importance of daily pruning, and organic gardening. Like all of Lawrence's writing, these columns are peppered with references to conversations with neighbors and quotations from poetry, mythology, and correspondence. They brim with knowledge gained from a lifetime of experimenting in her gardens, from her visits to other gardens, and from her extensive reading.

Lawrence once wrote, “Dirty fingernails are not the only requirement for growing plants. One must be as willing to study as to dig, for a knowledge of plants is acquired as much from books as from experience.” As inspiring today as when they first appeared in the Charlotte Observer, the columns collected in Beautiful at All Seasons showcase not only Lawrence's vast knowledge but also her intimate, conversational writing style and her lifelong celebration of gardens and gardening.
