![]() ![]() Author: Foster Jeff Publisher: Gruppo Editoriale Macro Il risveglio spirituale in realtà è molto semplice.

![]() ![]() Author: Bruseth James E. (EDT), Barr Juliana (CON), Durst Jeffrey (CON), De LA Teja Jesus F. (CON), Foster William C. (CON) Publisher: Texas A & M Univ Pr fter two decades of searching for La Salle’s lost ship La Belle, Texas Historical Commission (THC) divers in 1995 located a shipwreck containing historic artifacts of European origin in the silty bottom of Matagorda Bay, off the coast of Texas. The first cannon lifted from the waters bore late seventeenth-century French insignias. The ill-fated La Belle had been found. Under the direction of then-THC Archeology Division Director James Bruseth, the THC conducted a full excavation of the water-logged La Belle. The conservation was subsequently completed at Texas A&M University’s Conservation Research Laboratory, resulting in preservation of more than one million artifacts from the wreck. An official naval vessel granted to La Salle by the king of France in 1684, La Belle is still considered a sovereign naval vessel belonging to the French government under international maritime law. A formal agreement negotiated by the French Republic, the Musée national de la Marine, the US Department of State, and the THC allows the ship and artifacts to remain in Texas permanently and to be housed in an exhibit at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, opening October 2014. This richly illustrated catalog will accompany the exhibit. € 18,30

![]() ![]() Author: Dyer Jeff, Gregersen Hal, Christensen Clayton M., Foster Mel (NRT) Publisher: Brilliance Audio You can be as innovative and impactful — if you can change your behaviors to improve your creative impact. In The Innovator’s DNA, authors Jeff Dyer, Hal Gregersen, and bestselling author Clayton M. Christensen (The Innovator’s Dilemma, The Innovator’s Solution) build on what we know about disruptive innovation to show how individuals can develop the skills necessary to move progressively from idea to impact. By identifying behaviors of the world’s best innovators — from leaders at Amazon and Apple to those at Google, Skype, and Virgin Group — the authors outline five discovery skills that distinguish innovative entrepreneurs and executives from ordinary managers: Associating, Questioning, Observing, Networking, and Experimenting.Once you master these competencies, the authors explain how you can generate ideas, collaborate with colleagues to implement them, and build innovation skills throughout your organization to sharpen its competitive edge. That innovation advantage can translate into a premium in your company’s stock price — an innovation premium — that is possible only by building the code for innovation right into your organization’s people, processes, and guiding philosophies. Practical and provocative, The Innovator’s DNA is an essential resource for individuals and teams who want to strengthen their innovative prowess. € 9,20

![]() ![]() Author: Foster Jeff Publisher: Sounds True How can we bring an effortless yes to this moment? How do we stop running from 'the mess of life'-our predicaments, our frustrations, even our search for liberation-and start flowing with all of it? In small venues throughout the UK and Europe, a young teacher named Jeff Foster is quietly awakening a new generation of spiritual inquirers to the experience of abiding presence and peace in our ever-shifting world. His informal gatherings, blogs, and 'kitchen-table video posts' have created a rising tide of interest in his teachings. With The Deepest Acceptance, Jeff Foster invites us to discover the ocean of who we are: an awareness that has already allowed every wave of emotion and experience to arrive. While Jeff delightfully admits the irony of writing a book to convey something that is beyond words to teach, here he confirms his ability to guide us in unexpected new ways to a space of absolute acceptance and joy, no matter what's happening in our lives. Candid, thoughtful, humorous-and deeply compassionate toward those searching for a way out of suffering-this refreshing new luminary inspires us to stop trying to 'do' acceptance . and start falling in love with 'what has already been allowed.' Jeff Foster writes and speaks from his own awakened experience to help show the way out of seeking fulfillment in the future and into the acceptance of 'all this, here and now.' He studied astrophysics at Cambridge University. Following a period of depression and physical illness, he embarked on an intensive spiritual search that came to an end with the discovery that life itself was what he had always been seeking. 'Just as the ocean accepts every wave, so too has our awareness already allowed and accepted what is here.'-Jeff Foster € 21,30

![]() ![]() Author: Foster Patricia (EDT), Porter Jeff (EDT) Publisher: Broadview Pr This is a book on how to read the essay, one that demonstrates how reading is inextricably tied to the art of writing. It aims to treat the essay with the close literary attention that has been given to other literary forms. Patricia Hampl explores F. Scott Fitzgerald's famously confessional “The Crack-Up” from what was once his grandmother's house in St. Paul, Minnesota; Sven Birkerts compares the power of Cynthia Ozick's brief essay “A Drugstore in Winter” to “watching an enormous jet achieve lift-off from the shortest little patch of tarmac;” and Gayle Pemberton turns to Ralph Ellison for a “bracing blast of air” when the racism in contemporary American culture seems inescapable. At once personal appreciations and acute critical assessments, these pieces broaden our perspective on the essay as a literary art form. € 37,20

Schwartz has spent his career studying the structure and neuronal firing patterns of the human brain. He pioneered the first mindfulness-based treatment program for people suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder, teaching patients how to achieve long-term relief from ther compulsions. For the past six years, Schwartz has worked with psychiatrist Rebecca Gladding to refine a program that successfully explains how the brain works and why we often feel besieged by bad brain wiring. Just like the compulsions of OCD patients, they discovered that bad habits, social anxieties, self-deprecating thoughts, and compulsive overindulgence are all rooted in overactive brain circuits. The key to making life changes that you want-to making your brain work for you-is to consciously choose to starve these circuits of focused attention, thereby decreasing their influence and strength. In You Are Not Your Brain, Schwartz and Gladding carefully outline their program, showing listeners how to identify negative brain impulses, channel them through the power of focused attention, and ultimately lead more fulfilling and empowered lives. € 35,70

![]() ![]() Author: Jefferson Thomas, Foster Mel (NRT) Publisher: Tantor Media Inc In the early nineteenth century, Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence, conceived the idea of extracting a gospel purified of what he saw as extraneous philosophical, mythological, and theological elements. To do so, he took verses from the four canonical gospels and arranged them into a single narrative, focusing on the actual words of Jesus. This work was never published during Jefferson's lifetime but was inherited by his grandson and printed for the first time in the early twentieth century. The original bound manuscript, popularly referred to as The Jefferson Bible, is held by the United States National Museum in Washington. € 16,80
