This book provides a comprehensive coverage of vehicle system dynamics and control, particularly in the area of integrated vehicle dynamics control. The book consists of two parts,  (1) development of individual vehicle system dynamic model and control methodology; and (2) development of integrated vehicle dynamic model and control methodology. The first part focuses on investigating vehicle system dynamics and control according to the three directions of vehicle motions, including longitudinal, vertical, and lateral. Corresponding individual control systems, e.g. Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Active Suspension, Electric Power Steering System (EPS), are introduced and developed respectively.

Particular attention is paid in the second part of the book to develop integrated vehicle dynamic control system. Integrated vehicle dynamics control system is an advanced system that coordinates all the chassis control systems and components to improve the overall vehicle performance including safety, comfort, and economy. Integrated vehicle dynamics control has been an important research topic in the area of vehicle dynamics and control over the past two decades. The research topic on integrated vehicle dynamics control is investigated comprehensively and intensively in the book through both theoretical analysis and experimental study. In this part, two types of control architectures, i.e. centralized and multi-layer, have been developed and compared to demonstrate their advantages and disadvantages.

This book systematically discusses the operating principle, signal processing method, target measurement technology, and experimental results of a new kind of radar called synthetic impulse and aperture radar (SIAR). The purpose is to help readers acquire an insight into the concept and principle of the SIAR, to know its operation mode, signal processing method, the difference between the traditional radar and itself, the designing ideals, and the developing method.

It includes 10 chapters. Chapter 1 gives an introduction to the basic principle of SIAR and its characteristic of four antis. Chapter 2 introduces the operating principles and system constitution of SIAR. Chapter 3 presents the main waveforms and the corresponding signal processing methods. The first edition of this three-volume reference was published in 2000, and of course the war hasn't changed since then, but there has been enough new scholarship and new information uncovered to merit a second edition. In his preface and introductory essay, editor Tucker (emeritus, Texas Christian University) provides an overview of the significance of the 'forgotten war,' emphasizing its importance to the shape of world politics today. Following, in two volumes, are 750 alphabetically-organized signed entries (from 125 contributors), 120 of which are new, and all of which have been updated or expanded. The third volume contains approximately 150 primary source documents. The set includes a chronology of the war (newly expanded with further detail on modern Korean history), a glossary, a bibliography, and many b&w maps and photos; indexing is included in each volume. Although the entries are cross referenced, some sort of thematic guide to the entries would enhance the next edition. Tucker's editorial collaborators were Paul G.
