The Ear And The Voice
Book (italiano):
An ear, nose, and throat doctor in Paris, Tomatis (1920-2001) specialized in the treatment of singers and was knighted in 1951 for his discoveries. Here he summarizes his understanding of the principal role of the ear in listening, in dispensing energy to the nervous system, and in controlling the act of singing. Much of his account is fairly technical, but he tries to make it accessible to people who do not normally study neurology. Oreille et la Voix was originally published in 1987 by Editions Robert Laffont. Prada is a concert and recital performer; Sollier studied with Tomatis and is a family counselor in Mexico.
