Part two gives a detailed description of the life design paradigm and its relationship to career planning, identity construction, and the roles of various counseling professionals. Part three focuses on life choices and life architecture in different stages of life: childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, and middle adulthood. Part four considers the various life designing activities that can be undertaken by both individuals conducting life planning and assistants such as counselors, in addition to the influence of social factors such as poverty and interventions that can be taken to mitigate barriers.
