In conjunction with an art exhibit presented at the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art in Vancouver, this book highlights humor in Native American art of the region. The pieces displayed in color and b&w photos on every page were selected for their aesthetic qualities, the clarity with which the artist's humor is revealed, and their sense of fun and playfulness. While most pieces are from the contemporary period, some range father back, even to prehistoric times. In addition to the art, the book includes inspirational quotes and jokes from the artists, and three essays on North American Aboriginal humor by Tahltan artist and stand-up comedian Peter Morin, and Martine Reid and Mike Robinson of the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art.
