Objects of the Spirit
Book (italiano):
Published in conjunction with a traveling exhibition organized by the Avoda Institute in New York, this book features the creations of artist Tobi Kahn (b.1952), who sculpts functional Jewish ceremonial objects in bronze and wood, and creates paintings and large-scale public works for the purpose of spiritual contemplation. Independent scholar and curator Bilski and several other contributors provide interpretive essays, and a glossary and biographical chronology round out the work. The book is oversize (9.5x12<">) to afford display of more than 100 works. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
