Media Bias
Book (italiano):
Rather than adding more fuel to the debate over media bias, Sloan (journalism, U. of Alabama) and Mackay (doctoral student, mass communication, UA; formerly, Graduate Project on Media Bias) present perspectives on how much bias exists and of what type. In 17 chapters, contributors analyze evidence for biased views and make recommendations for balanced reporting on such hot button issues as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, religion, abortion, feminists, homosexuality, crime, the environment, military, management and labor, and medicine. They do not tackle issues of blogs and "amateur" journalism. Sloan coauthored American Journalism: History, Principles, Practices (McFarland, 2002).
