Harwood-nuss' Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine
Book (italiano):
Harwood-Nuss was editor-in-chief for the first three editions (the first was published in 1991); Wolfson (emergency medicine, U. of Pittsburgh) undertook the task for the 2005 fourth edition and for this 2010 fifth edition. Overall organization is logical, proceeding from resuscitation, pain management, and high-risk chief complaints to trauma, and to emergencies pertaining to the various parts of the anatomy. The authoritative yet readable contributed chapters are clearly presented with large typeface headings and consistent organization. Coverage includes clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, evaluation and management, and disposition. Common pitfalls and critical intervention strategies are clearly identified, and charts, tables, and illustrations (b&w) are included where needed. Access to the contents online (and other materials) is included with purchase of the book. Annotation ©2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
